Reconstruindo experiências: o PIBID-História-UFOPA e o trabalho com Educação Patrimonial em Santarém-PA (2016)

Abstract

The present work is a report of experiences and its main objective is to reconstruct experiences of teaching History, based on the Institutional Program of Scholarship for Teaching Initiation (PIBID). During 2016, this program made it possible to include and study the theme of heritage education at the Princesa Izabel School in two stages: Material and Intangible Cultural Heritage, with a visit to the João Fona Cultural Center and Cultural Heritage: Oral History, which allowed interviews with 07 residents of Nova República/STM/PA. Over the course of two semesters, an attempt was made to reflect with primary school students on the importance of the community's local heritage, on its preservation and also on how to include this theme in the History discipline. For this reason, this text will reflect on issues related to the construction of the heritage education subproject and will then analyze the methodological aspects of the constitution of these PIBID-História-UFOPA experiences, having as main reference the authors: Amado (2006); Alberti (2014); Boat (2004); Burke (2011); Caimi (2015); Fonseca (2003); Gois and Sousa (2020); Schmidt and Garcia (2003, 2005, 2011); Rüsen (2011); among others. Then, in the next topics, the experiences surrounding the visits to the João Fona Cultural Centre, the interviews and the results achieved will follow. Finally, demonstrate that PIBID-História-UFOPA dialogued directly with the theme of heritage education, providing a change in students' mindset towards the subject of History and, that, the History teaching activities developed by PIBID-História-UFOPA contributed to the formation of the “historical awareness” of these students and, primarily, to the appreciation of local history and the neighborhood where they live.
