The Region The Amazon has a diversity of native people from common people in the latter, as well as recognition, guarantee of rights, among others. Among the main rights to universities in recent years, the inclusion of indigenous students in publications in Brazil, through a specific entrance exam. In this sense, the objective of this research is to investigate the process of teacher training of indigenous students in the geography course. Based on the dialectical method, a qualitative approach was chosen and from that, the type of research was defined is documental analysis. The procedures used during this study were: survey and analysis of the bibliography relevant to the research; collection of information through the application of two questionnaires and two interviews. Thus, the Special Indigenous Selection Process (PSEI) is one of the milestones in guaranteeing these rights. However, many of these students, upon entering the university, have difficulty in understanding concepts, considering that both the classes and the readings proposed for the disciplines are presented in Portuguese, and many students do not master it. In this sense, this reality compromises the teaching/learning process and, consequently, the formation of indigenous students.
