When landed in the Amazon in the 16th century, Europeans (Spanish and Portuguese) faced a very different reality to which they were used to. The landscapes and especially the people were new to both of them. From here they welcomed those from there who arrived on the other side of the ocean, with Brazil a complex relationship even cultural today. In this way, reports resulted that helped to build an idea about the region, today
called the Amazon by nine states of Federal Law and legally constituted Federal. Five different building elements since then, and in the specific idea of an element of representation in which one finds a stronghold of a people or a region that help a region. Since the media, including television, act as mediators of reality through the reproduction long of images for diverse audiences. The general objective of this investigation focuses
on the analysis of news broadcast about the ALB, during the year 2020 by TV news from Portugal and Brazil, including national and regional vehicles, in their respective countries. The scope of this work includes the Jornal das 8 (J8) of TVI de Portugal, the Jornal Nacional (JN), of Rede Globo do Brasil and the news programs Jornal Liberal 1st Edition (JL1), of TV Liberal based in Belém and the Tapajós Newspaper 1st Edition of TV
Tapajós, from Santarém. The study focused on television reports aired during the second half of 2020, the period of the year in which the region has a greater share in foreign and Brazilian media because of the climate change that brings as consequences fires in the Amazon rainforest.Exhaustively by foreign and Brazilian vehicles. To this end, a hypothesis was raised that the first reports brought different reports from contemporary
reports. The results point to a convergence in the content of narratives about the region, in Portugal and Brazil. Presented here is an investigation anchored in Theory based on the pragmatic analysis of the thesis with an approach that mixes elements of qualitative and quantitative.
