This article is the result of an autoethnographic study aiming to analyse the participation of a TEAL2 undergraduate student in the Institutional Program for Teaching Initiation Scholarships in the light of the competencies for the teaching profession discussed by Philippe Perrenoud. Data collection was carried out through a self-interview, field notes and reports produced in the years 2018 and 2019, the period of her participation in the program. The process of analysis of the research corpus was carried out using a thematic analysis method, aiming to identify possible levels in which her experience of the program has promoted or not the acquisition of competencies listed and discussed by Philippe Perrenoud. The results indicate the influence of the program in the acquisition of some of these competencies by the TEAL undergraduate student, in addition to her recognition of the procedural and unfinished character of teacher education.
