Estudo de qualidade dos blocos cerâmicos do tipo comum produzidos na cidade de Santarém
Resumo
The red ceramic industry in Brazil consists mostly of micro and small companies with a family
organizational system, with low production capacity and low profitability, where there is an
obstacle to technological innovations and organizational development. It’s known that many
producers are unaware of the use of testing and technological control to evaluate their materials.
In practice, what has been happening is the lack of process control. Despite this, these
manufacturers are able to sell the products on the market, mainly due to the lower price, high
demand and the lack of technical knowledge of consumers. In this work, the objective was to
acquire test results according to the technical standards, analyzing and verifying whether or not
the ceramic blocks meet the minimum quality requirements as described in ABT NBR 15270-
1: 2005. For this, a survey was carried out in the western region of Para, specifically in the city
of Santarém, with three companies from the pottery sector for the collection and analysis of
samples. The results of the tests carried out demonstrate the low quality of the blocks produced
and marketed in the city of Santarém, Pará. The objectives of this study are to provide a research
source with technical information on the quality of ceramic blocks in the city of Santarém,
consumers about the care in the purchase of this product and informing the manufacturers about
the standards that should be used and the factors that influence the production and quality of
the blocks.
