The objective of this work is to analyze the policies of rural education carried out at the Duque de Caxias Municipal School of São Miguel do Aritapera, Santarém - Pará. The work used as methodology, bibliographic review, document analysis, fieldwork and interviews with students, teachers and school management surveyed. The survey results indicate that despite the various public policies existing at the federal, state and municipal levels, the actions of governments to reach these policies to the target public are inefficient or there is no public action in this regard. The lack of planning by the public authorities or worse, the lack of compliance with the Federal Constitution of 1988 that guarantees education to all the Brazilian people, causes damage that may never be able to be reversed, harming the social development of thousands of people living in the countryside, and ultimately hampering the development of the country as a whole.
