This paper aims to discuss the convergence between Alternation Pedagogy and Agroecology with a view to the vocational training of rural young people. In the context of the promotion of Sustainable Rural Development, Rural Education and Agroecology have been discussed by social movements as a right and as a strategy to strengthen rural youth, and the CEFFAS - Family Alternating Training Centers are considered strategic to enable an educational proposal. to the interest of the rural populations. In this sense, the Pedagogy of Alternation emerges as a possibility of formation centered on sharing and interaction between all the subjects involved in the teaching-learning process, in valuing local knowledge, culture and territory. For these characteristics, it dialogues with the assumptions of agroecological rural extension, which favors the inclusion and understanding of Agroecology as a guiding axis in the process of formation of young people.
