The discussion is based on field reseach executed between octuber and november 2019, through interviews guided by open questionnairesing the organic farms and at the organic fair. The results show the families chose to produce organically, because they can eat healthier and affer to consumers a different product. The activities developed in the properties have always been diversified, but nowadays, they have been using agroecological praticies like composting, green fertilizartion, new methods to control pests and diseases, being the mainly changes after the transition. The mains challenges fanced by farms during the trasintion were the need of daily care, and the expansion of monoculture, mainly soy, that is gettind closer and closer to the community, increasing the challenge for who wishes adhere to organic producing model, and to stay working. It is important highlight the role of the Social Control organization as an alternative to the certification of products of organic origin and enable access to rural extension service.
