Diagnóstico do uso de Licania tomentosa (Benth.)Fristsch na arborização urbana no município de Santarém-PA
Resumo
Licania tomentosa (Benth.) Fritsch, popularly known as Oiti, is a large tree and great 2 shade producer due to the shape and density of its crown, has become common in the 3 afforestation of Brazilian cities. The objective of this work was to analyze the potential 4 use of Oiti in the urban afforestation of Santarém providing data for the best planning of 5 the urban afforestation of the city and to subsidize studies for the use of this species in 6 other cities in the country. An inventory of road afforestation was conducted in 4 districts 7 and 11 squares in the municipality of Santarém, Pará. A total of 1,635 individuals were 8 accounted for, of which 205 are L. tomentosa species. being one of the predominant 9 species in road afforestation in Santarém-PA. Of the individuals of the species analyzed, 10 55.1% have a height between 3 and 6 meters, 70.7% of the trees sampled have no conflicts 11 with the spinning and 81.9% of the crown diameter are below 6 meters. In addition, about 12 99.0% of L. tomentosa individuals did not present any phytosanitary problems in their 13 stem or crown. It was noted that the species is very resistant to pests and diseases, proving 14 to be a species with high potential for both squares and forests as well as urban roads. 15 However, better urban planning is required for L. tomentosa to keep its relative frequency 16 low to prevent the spread of future diseases and pests.
