The objective of this study was to evaluate the nutrient digestibility of diets containing increasing levels of inclusion of fecular waste in substitution of ground corn in confined sheep feed. Eight castrated male Santa Inês sheep, with initial average weight of 24.875 kg, were randomly distributed in individual pens. The experiment had four experimental periods of 21 days. Each experimental period had 16 days of adaptation and five days of collection, during which food consumption was recorded, and leftovers and feces were collected. Treatments consisted of replacing maize with the dried residue from cassava starch extraction, at increasing levels of substitution 0%, 20%, 40% and 60%. The digestibility coefficients of DM, OM, NDF, CP, EE and CNF were determined from the nutrient content of the feed, leftovers and feces. All parameters evaluated showed significant difference (P <0.05). The digestibility of the EE showed increasing linear behavior, while the digestibility of all other nutrients showed quadratic behavior as the highest values in the diet with 40% substitution. The inclusion of starch residue in substitution of ground corn in confined sheep diets increased the digestibility coefficients of DM, OM, NDF, CP and CNF to the level of 40% substitution.
