Sanitary sewers generally have a high organic load, toxic chemicals and microorganisms, and, once disposed of without proper treatment, they can cause damage to public health and the environment. In the municipality of Santarém –PA, the treatment is carried out through a UBOX reactor, in this sense, the present work has the general objective of evaluating the physical characteristics of the ETE and conducting a study of the efficiency of the UBOX reactor of the Sewage Treatment Station of Bairro do Uruará , by removing solids, nutrients and organic matter. For physical characterization, visits were made in loco and photographic records. The samples were collected at the reactor entrance (raw sewage-E1), and at the reactor exit (already treated sewage-S1), where through analysis of physical-chemical parameters, the treatment efficiency of the TEE was evaluated, through its capacity pollutant removal. The results obtained through the physical-chemical analyzes were compared to the values established by the environmental legislation. The average removal efficiencies were 84.14%, 46.13%, 36.3%, 93.57%, 84.52%, 84.5% and 72.2% for the phosphorus parameters, total solids respectively (ST), volatile (SV), Total suspended solids (SST), volatile suspended solids (SSV), chemical oxygen demand, chemical filtered oxygen demand.
