The climatological classification of the Convective Available Potential Energy (CAPE), Convection Inhibition Energy (CINE), Instability Index K (K) and total precipitation were studied to verify the relationships between their values, in order to compare and correlate these parameters between The seasonal periods (rainy and dry period), daily schedules (day and night) in the region of Santarém-Pa, Brazil. In order to do so, we used radiosonde data from the Department of Airspace Control (DECEA) of Santarém-Pa airport, in order to calculate the CAPE, CINE and K. And for the data of total precipitation we used data from the Meteorological Station of Observation of Surface Conventional of the municipality of Belterra - Pa, of the National Institute of Meteorology (INMET), approximately 50 km of the Santarém airport. It was observed that the dynamics and thermodynamics of the local atmosphere present favorable conditions for the development of moderate deep convection, since the average monthly CAPE for the time period studied was around 2468 J/kg during the night (0000 UTC) and 1553 J / kg in the day's probes (1200 UTC), it was also observed that in the months of the rainy season (from January to May) CAPE had low average values compared to the annual averages for the dry period (between months From July to December). In this context, it was observed that the months with the highest precipitation correspond to the months where the CAPE has lower values, this characteristic was observed throughout the studied period. The CAPE thresholds between 1000 and 2500 J/kg correspond to moderate deep convection, in 65% of the monthly averages fall within these limits. Another index, which is directly associated with CAPE, is the ISCED, where the calculated values were around 416 J/kg for the soundings at night and 166 J / kg for soundings during the day. In relation to the CAPE and the CINE, it was observed for high values of the CAPE that high CINE also occur. The K index had values all close both for the rainy season, dry period, day and night, with the average of the period around 30.3 °C, which corresponds to the probability of very dispersed storms, however analyzing this index more detailed , It is observed that the highest values correspond to the months with the highest total monthly precipitation. The precipitation is related to the indices studied here, because in the dry period, or less rainfall of the region, the highest values of the CAPE are clearly evident, and inversely, for the K index, the inverse occurs, that is, higher values Of K are associated with months with higher total rainfall values. These factors are in agreement with some studies already carried out in the Amazon region.
