A repercussão penal da violência obstétrica a partir dos registros observados no município de Santarém - Pará

Abstract

The work aims to analyze the mechanisms in Brazilian criminal law that deal with or fight obstetric violence based on records in the city of Santarém/PA. Based on bibliographical and empirical research, the paper sought to verify the legal, institutional and professional formation to deal with these situations, with the hypothesis that such mechanisms are still insufficient. For that, the research used the hypothetical-deductive method, with bibliographic survey, analysis of scientific and doctrinal texts and analysis of questionnaires and databases. The conclusion was that the subject still does not have specific legislative treatment, especially in the scope of criminal law, and that this hinders the training and performance of public security professionals and other law operators.
