Even after more than a century of insertion in Brazilian territory, football remains one of the main elements of national culture. This fact contributed to the fact that this sport academically analyzed, mainly in its technical and administrative aspects. However, over the last few decades there has been growing interest in research centers around the often-oppressive social relations that unfold within the sport. One of the recurring themes in this type of approach is the relationship between professional training and school education, which in the case of the footballer, occur simultaneously, resulting in the need for young sportsmen and women to reconcile the routine between school and club. Understanding that the relationship between formal education and soccer education is still conflicting in Brazil, due to diverse cultural, structural and legislative issues, it is important to deepen the debate about the importance of informal education in the conditions of ex-players' existence. Thus, this research had as object of study the relationship between educational trajectories and the social inclusion of soccer players in the post-career sports phase. To that end, biographical interviews were conducted with 5 former professional players, using the methodological device called sociological portrait (LAHIRE, 2004). In the analysis, it was verified that the current social inclusion of the participants of the research is closely linked to socializations and daily practices, characteristics of informal education. Other exalted points, such as the Market view of school institutions and the disciplinary elements of formal education in theinterviewees' discourse. Thus, the initial hypothesis that advocated the importance of informal education for the social inclusion of former soccer players was adequate for most of the cases demonstrated, although it is advisable to deepen this debate, as well as to carry out new research with questions that emerged from the study results.
