Educomunicação: práticas e desafios do uso do rádio nas escolas Rotary e Madre Imaculada, em Santarém
Resumo
The use of radio as a pedagogical resource in the Rotary and Mother Immaculate schools, in the city of Santarém, was the object of this research, aiming to understand, if this communication media still has pedagogical potential for the learning of children and adolescents, and if This fact favors the protagonism of the students involved in the process. In this perspective a case study was carried out, using school radio, through the project Tuning of Education in the Rotary School, and also a research participant in Radio Fala, guys! from the Immaculate Mother School. Before immersing in the universe of schools, it was made a journey through the history of radio in Brazil, considering how this vehicle became popular and an educational tool. In the same way, we tried to understand how education and communication intersect until reaching what today the most recent researchers call educommunication. To reach that purpose, we had as methodological articulation, research bibliographic and documentary research, as well as interviews with the actors involved and observation. It was found that the Department of Education of the municipality does not have a record of Santarém radio schools. And that the object of investigation opens countless possibilities in school, even with deficiencies that can only be corrected with the involvement of the State.
