For teaching practice becomes effectively an educational development action it must be focused on the formation of the subject as a whole. Through this practice, in the case of this study, in the environment of commercial soccer schools, teachers should coordinate, appropriately in his or her classes, activities whose aim is to develop the formation of his or her students in a balanced manner not only for sports, but also for the practice of citizenship. This research aimed to examine whether in the teaching practice of the teacher of the commercial schools of football the teaching of social skills for the development of children occurs or not. Such skills when developed in interpersonal relationships make it relationships with one another possible, besides making friends, relating interpersonally, and having empathy. Thus, human beings learn to deal with situations of stress, relationship difficulties, behavior change, among other important skills that can make up a person's social repertoire. Regarding methodology, it is a qualitative research of descriptive-exploratory type. Data collection were performed using demographic questionnaire and semi-structured interviews with four teachers of commercial soccer schools located in the city of Santarém-PA. As for the data analysis technique, Collective Subject Discourse (CSD) was used, which was studied by Lefèvre and Lefèvre (2003). Through interviews using context-situations related to social skills, the result from the analysis of the reports in the DSCs was that only the central hypothesis was confirmed, since teachers understand the importance of the social context for the development of such skills. For this purpose, it is fundamental that teachers become aware of the situations that take place in activities proposed in the classes and in eventualities occurring in games that involve teacher / student, student / student relationship so that the social skills teaching for child development can be offered. It should be stressed that commercial soccer schools are not only places for sports debut focused on the development of the specific skills of the sport, but also spaces that contribute to the education and human formation of students. It is believed that the results, analyses and considerations of such work can bring important benefits to the performance and training of teachers of sports schools, be they formative / club, commercial or social, regardless of the modality to be developed.
