The dissertation work aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of experimental practices in an interdisciplinary approach in teaching Physics and Chemistry in High School involving experimental practices, since it is important that the subjects can dialogue in the school environment, thus contributing to a better understanding of the phenomena of nature. The choice of the research location was determined by the better placement of the public school in the Basic Education Development Index (Ideb). We also opted for participatory research, since the idea was to develop a critical and reflective thinking through experimental practices linked to the disciplines of physics and chemistry in an interdisciplinary action, in which, the researcher acted as a professor of Chemistry in the development of practices with the students, and with the professor of Physics of the class. The educational product developed consists of instructional material, intended for teachers, which presents three experimental proposals for an interdisciplinary approach to physics and chemistry in high school. For the dissertation, the three proposals were applied, the flame that sucks water and the electric current through water in a disciplinary approach, and the small electric motor applied in an interdisciplinary approach, following the following steps: in the first moment, the experiment was used as demonstration of the theory and, in the second moment, the experiment was used as a motivator for the study of the theory. The physics and chemistry class with the aid of experimental practices contributed to the discussion in the school environment, making the students begin to realize that to understand a problem more widely, several areas of knowledge can contribute in an interdisciplinary perspective. This implies saying that the students' views began to change about the study of physics.
