Doenças de veiculação hídrica sob vigilância: Uma analise dos casos de Juruti-PA

Abstract

This work aims to verify the waterborne diseases under surveillance in the municipality of Juruti-Pá. The abrupt growth of inhabitants in the municipality of Juruti in recent years, due to the installation of the multinational mining company ALCOA, brought with it some problems due to the municipality being unprepared, with infrastructure, mainly for water supply, among other facilities. The general objective of the research is: To analyze the cases of waterborne diseases in the municipality of Juruti from 2013 to 2018 and their relation with the sanitation in the municipality. The method has as its focus the qualitative phenomenological, due to the qualitative responses of the social, political and economic aspects of the city, which required subjective analysis, with little attachment to numerical values, but to the relations of the events. The instruments were used: bibliographical surveys, observation and interviews. However, we added data from notifications that confirmed the presence of waterborne diseases with greater relevance to the benefits of quality basic sanitation, so we searched for their presence relationships with municipal sanitation management, in this second act we used the observation of environments and interviews responsible bodies. And we obtained indications that there may actually be a relationship between sanitation and the occurrence of waterborne diseases in the municipality under study. We have detected several disagreements between the regulations governing water use and production and the application of sanitation in the municipality of Juruti, both in the production, treatment and distribution of water, as well as in the collection and disposal of waste, sewage and rainwater. However we hope to collaborate to sensitize managers, to seek investments to improve sanitation, especially regarding the treatment of water to be offered to the population.
