This course completion paper presents a proposal for intervention in the teaching of geometry
for teachers of basic education through the activity called Battle of Polygons and Pick's
Theorem, which involves the application of a virtual game created in GeoGebra software that
resembles the game of battleship. The game consists of using the grid to calculate the area of
polygons using the point counting method, the means by which Pick's Theorem uses to calculate
the areas of simple polygons. The paper presents a demonstration of Pick's Theorem accessible
to basic education teachers as well as the description of the proposed activity for classroom
application. At the end of this work there is a brief experience report based on observations
made during the development of this application in the Math Clubs project. Despite some
difficulties reported during the application, the objectives of the work were partially achieved.
