Apropriação ilícita de terras na Amazônia: o caso da Gleba Federal Mojuí dos Campos em Santarém-PA
Abstract
The illicit appropriation of public lands in the Amazon, also called land grabbing, has been a rule in the formation of private rural property. In Santarém-PA, this practice takes on even more devastating contours, when such real estate is incorporated into the urban real estate market, increasing the income obtained illegally. In this sense, we sought to analyze the aspects of the discriminatory procedure that culminated in the collection by Gleba Mojuí dos Campos in Santarém-PA, as well as to analyze the displacement of some of these lands, located in the expansion zone urban development in 1997. No less important was the analysis of documents referring to the Salvação Farm, a private property located in the challenged area of Gleba Mojuí dos Campos, whose area concentrates a series of conflicts and social tensions. The study was based on secondary sources of information, following the procedures of bibliographical research in the field of constitutional and infraconstitutional law, in addition to a documentary survey. The results point to a possible misappropriation of public lands in the Gleba Mojuí dos Campos, considering the numerous inconsistencies identified in the documents referring to the Salvation Farm, as well as in the process of disempowering part of the field Gleba Mojuí dos Campos. In addition, they suggest the need for more detailed investigation, in the sense of answering any doubt.
